Position Overview

Xaxis requires a Managing Director for the in-country business

Responsibilities

Over-arching external objective:

To lead, grow and manage the Xaxis business in the market. To represent Xaxis externally within the industry as well as internally (Groupm / agency and WPP)

The Managing Director of Xaxis reports into the Asia Pacific Regional Head of Xaxis.
Detailed requirements:

General

• Set and clearly articulate the direction for Xaxis in the local market – own the strategy, and drive our growth



• Represent Xaxis in the industry, with the press and with key partners



• Build strong working relationships at senior levels within GroupM and the 4 media agencies



• Develop and cultivate deep relationships with counterparts in the Global and APAC management teams to ensure Xaxis has a clear voice and is contributing to the global strategy for Xaxis



• Report to agency shareholders/Xaxis board (APAC and Global) on organizational plans and performance



• Participation in weekly / quarterly / yearly Xaxis management meetings



• Realise team efficiencies through increased automation and organize workflows and ensure accurate processes are followed and documented

Personal

• Provide inspiring leadership for a team of  motivated and highly skilled professionals, Responsibility for recruitment and staff development / identification of training needs etc



• Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff to improve individual and team performance



• Promote a cohesive team atmosphere through exhibiting strong leadership, effective communication, professionalism, and development of individual career paths

Technology & Data Management

• Working with the specialists in the team, develop and prioritize the product and technology needs of the business



• Engage directly with the APAC Xaxis Managing Director on technology and partnership needs and requirements. Ensure these are clearly communicated and that our technology suppliers are delivering

Financial /Commercial

Qualifications

Required

• Masters or at least Bachelor’s degree, quantitative studies preferred



• At least 6+ years in online media specifically



• Min 1+ years line management/operational management experience



• Proven delivery of margin / profit to a business – results driven



• A strong desire to succeed in an online media sales and service organization



• Strong understanding of industry trends, technologies and pricing models



• Excellent understanding of agency dynamics and campaign buying and planning



• Strong knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis



• Understanding of audience profiles, online ad targeting, and campaign optimization



• Proven communication, presentation and sales skills with a knack for consultative selling



• Strong attention to detail and extremely well-organized



• Able to deliver against multiple simultaneous tasks with excellence



• Strong verbal communication skills



• Ability to work well with teams



• Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions based on data
